All that Glitters…

Hello Beautiful!

Happy Hump Day!  Today is a funky day.  Nothing seems perfect for me for the perfectionist in me.  My list at work was forever long, took me forever to do just one design.  I woke up with a headache and just in general ached.  And I am very behind on getting back to people about their Avon orders!  I promise I will get to you by tomorrow!

On a happy note, I redid my nails.  I get bored very easily with looking at the same all day.  [I type a lot so I do get bored with looking at the same thing, or maybe that is just my ADD kicking in.] Plus, I did need something to compliment my new Avon deal of the day ring!

What you will need:

  • Electrical Tape
  • Loose Glitter
  • Top Coat & Base Coat
  • Avon Nailwear Pro Night Violet

  • Paint your nails with base coat
  • Let nails dry
  • Take electrical tape and put where you want your straight lines to be. [I went half way down my nails. And ring finger I left with no tape]
  • Paint Night Violet on the non-taped part
  • Let nails become tacky and roll in loose glitter
  • Remove Tape
  • Let dry fully, then paint clear coat on just the tips.
  • After that top coat dries paint the whole nail with top coat.
  • KA-POW! Your nails are done!

Note: Let me know if you guys do this one.  It is very fun, but have patience on this one!  I do not have much of that, but some how I managed to get through it.  Trust me, you can do it!

Remember, you are beautiful!

Red Hot

Hello Beautiful!

Happy Sunday Funday to you all!

I got bored with the pink nails that I just did that I had to take it off and paint them a new color!  Plus red is more my color!  I once got a card from my mums that said “The world is at your feet, paint your nails red!” And from that day my toenails have been some shade of red!  Dark red, pinkish-red, red-red, orangish red, glittery red.  I could go on, but I think you guys got the idea! 🙂

There is no tutorial for this just a picture!  Nails are Real Red (#Avon – 944-931) and I am also wearing the Mood Ring that is coming out in Catalog #3.  I absolutely love the ring and it doesn’t even turn your finger green!

The Real Red nail polish is absolutely amazing and I have been addicted to it since I got it.  I used to wear OPI’s Got the Blue’s for Red and would choose Avon’s red over OPI!

  • The mark. Fushia-istic is on sale for $2.99 in the Avon Outlet Campaign 3/4 Catalog.  It is on page 27.  It also comes with Stay Neutral. Definitely  a good steal!  Two nail polishes for $2.99!  (279-301)
  • Real Red (944-931) is also on sale in Campaign 3.  Mix or Match [Glimmersticks and Nailwear Pro], 3 for $9.99!  Save up to $11!  This special can be found on pages 48-51.
  • Lastly, the Heart Mood Ring is $9.99 and comes in Sizes 7 (787-512), 8 (787-527), 9 (787-531), and 10 (787-546).  It can be found on page 15 in the Campaign 3 Catalog!

Pretty in Pink

Hello Beautiful! My first official post and I am excited!!

What you will need:

  • mark. Fuschia-isitic
  • Avon Nailwear Pro Viva Pink
  • Electrical Tape
  • Top Coat & Base Coat [I didn’t use this because I just ordered mine]

Photos were taking with my iPhone!  And I did remove the extra nailpolish off my finger.

  • Paint your nails with Viva Pink
  • Let nails dry
  • Take electrical tape and put where you want your straight lines to be. [I went from bottom corner to top corner diagonally. On Ring Finger I flipped the diagonal.]
  • Paint Fuschia-isitic on the non-taped part
  • Let dry and remove tape!
  • POW! Your nails are done
NOTE: If using a base coat and/or a top coat there will be extra steps.  Make sure they are completely dry before applying new or different polish.  If tacky it will make your nails smudgy or dented if you hit them on something.
Remember you are beautiful!

Hello Beautiful!

Hello Beautiful!

My name is Lesley and I am an Avon lady! Let me tell you a little about myself and what I plan to do with this blog!

I am from a town called Wadsworth; it is about 35 miles away from Cleveland and a couple miles short of that from Akron.  I live with my mom, who is my best friend.  And I have brother that just got his PhD in nanotechnology in June of 2011.  It is just us three now, but somehow we all get along and admire each other in a way that others probably do not understand.

I am a freelance photographer and graphic designer and absolutely love it.  My clients inspire me in more ways than just one.  I wake up and think how can I impress them more than I did the day before.  And this is all where the Avon comes into play.

A great and dear friend of mine (also a great photographer) came to me and asked if I was interested in selling Avon.  I thought awesome I can get good discounts on my make-up.  Then as I started getting into it, I loved it more.  I am now considering going to cosmetology school to become a make-up artist then maybe going back to get my masters in photography.

I searched the web and found out that now is not a good time for me to go back to school. This pushed me to educate myself.  I read more tutorials than books I read in college.  And that of course lead to this blog that I am sitting here writing now.

I hope to take what I learned and educate you.  You guys are my audience and I hope you guys will inspire me and motivate me more than you already do.  I will also, critique, review and sell my Avon products with all of you.

Enjoy the blog and remember you are beautiful!
